I have a couple of other gluten free cook books (not by Carol) and this one is by far the best and is the one that I go to all the time. Carol's flour blend is the best tasting that I have tried thus far (I don't like bean flours and most commercial mixes use them)and the variety of recipes in this book are wonderful. How nice it was to enjoy banana bread again (I like her recipe better than any wheat containing one I've ever made) or to have fresh bread from the oven that isn't heavy and hard like most GF breads. Aside from baked goods she has great recipes for main dishes, desserts, mixes and has an extensive resource list for special items. When I use her recipes, even non gluten free family members love the food. All the recipes are easy to follow and she provides substitutions for things like eggs and dairy as well. This book is great for anyone new to GF cooking or not but if you are a beginner, this is a really good book to start with. I'm a registered dietitian and this is one book that I recommend to clients that need a GF diet.

This book is awesome! I was afraid cooking gluten free would be hard, but this book made it easy and practical. All the recipes I have tried work very well and are easy to alter if needed.
