“The author’s expertise, can-do attitude, and focus on good nutrition gives anyone confidence and know-how to maintain the GF diet, especially those who need to be gluten-free for a lifetime."
Library Journal - BookSmack!
This book was first published in 2001 as Kids with Celiac Disease. Korn, the so-called gluten-free guru, gives a sensible overview of how to remove gluten from children's diets, whether they medically need it or not. Along with discussing the physical aspects of gluten, she offers advice for helping kids deal with the psychological effects of being the only one who doesn't eat pizza or McDonalds, etc. There are appendixes on foods that can/not be eaten and a glossary of related terms. A concise, informative package at a great price— Mike Rogers, "Classic Returns," Booksmack! 1/6/11
