This book is fantastic. The buckwheat pancakes are to die for as well as the Quinoa stuffing. Her recipes are healthy, delicious and easy to put together. I was tired of gluten free cooking leaving little to be desired in terms of wholesome, healthy meals and this book fixes that! Low fat options/suggestions. The use of Agave Nectar is perfect. I can't say enough about this cookbook.

Susan O'Brien has had an interest in natural foods and nutrition. She has used this interest to aid her in her own dietary needs. She had worked as a gourmet cook, cooking instructor, baker and as a consultant for food management, as well as medical education. Each recipe is labelled as to what the recipe is free of, such as no dairy, no eggs, and no nuts, as well as being sugar-free and gluten-free. The recipes are easy-to-follow and are delicious. This cookbook, also, does not have photographs or illustrations. There is a chapter on how to substitute sugar and wheat flour for other products, in an effort to increase creativity and independence. There is, also, a resource guide to help you find those hard-to-find ingredients. Some of the delicious recipes you can find in this book are: Potato Scones, Blackberry Cobbler, Prosciutto and Veggies, Quinoa and Tofu, Chai Tea and Meatballs.

My husband and I started eating sugar free a few months ago and I had been looking for recipes to use when I came across this book. I have tried many of the recipes already and every one of them has been great! There are ways to make just about anything without sugar or gulten...sweet and sour chicken, pesto pasta, beef and broccoli, meatloaf, even breakfast foods! It does call for several ingredients that likely are not in the regular kitchen, but after you buy the "start up" ingredients, it is honestly not any more expensive to eat healthy! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to cut sugar out of their diet, whether they are gluten intolerant or not!

This is a great book. It is refreshing to find gluten free recipes that are not junk food! My husband loved the Beef and Broccoli and Marinated Flank Steak recipes. I like the Bean and Quinoa Chili. I have many more recipes highlighted on my nook, and I can't wait to try them all!
