Stayed up late again last night to finish "GO Fetch" by Shelly Laurenston. This is the second book in her 'Magnus Pack' series and it's just as erotic and humorous as the first one. If there's one thing I can't resist, it's an author that can combine hot sex and humor WELL. Shelly Laurenston seems to have the knack and as a result, her books seems to find their way to my keeper shelf with regularity.
Conall hasn't been able to get the short, nasty-tempered friend of his Alpha's new mate out of his head. He's spent so much time in the shower trying to take care of his problem that his Alpha is complaining about the water bill! So when said female appears to be in danger, well...Conall decides she needs her own guard wolf.
Miki is a genius who can't NOT think. She learned her lesson about love very early in life and decided it just wasn't for her. And the whole sex thing too...who needs it? Now if she could just quit thinking about the Viking shapeshifter. I mean he's like, twice her size...and really really hot...and he won't stay out of her dreams!
These two are a riot. She keeps trying to drive him away, and he just won't bite (hahahaha). The sex is smoking, the plot is a continuation of the first book even though you don't need to read it to be able to follow. But I think that if you read this one, you'll want the first one and "Here, Kitty, Kitty" which will be reprinted in May09.

Shelly Laurenston does it again! I truly enjoy reading each one of her books. This was one of a series of paranormal romance stories dealing with shapeshifters known as the Magnus pack. It is based on two characters (Miki & Conall) first introduced in Pack Challenge. Ms. Laurenston continues with Miki and Conall's rough road to "bliss". Miki is a petite dynamo who is extremely intelligent and somewhat gun crazy, while Conall is a extremely tall wolf shapeshifter. Conall knows what he wants when he sees her and Miki is looking for "Mr. Safe". She is trying to turn over a new leaf and Conall just wants her to be with him. It is a fun and wacky ride all the way to the end! Miki is in danger from "pack enemies" so Conall ends up going with her to present her doctoral. The two butt heads quite often because Conall wants her safe and Miki wants him gone! There are several characters from other past books in this story and well as the beginning story for the next in this series. If you like laughter, a little mystery and adventure with lots of steamy love scenes, then this is the story for you!

This is the best book out of the Magnus Pack series and was surprised that it was better than the 1st. The writing was original and it takes u away. She has a strong heroine that is witty and head strong and finds a man who loves her flaws and all. It doesn't get better than that.

While filled with great romance, a kick-ass female lead, and many captivating characters, it also left me rolling on the floor with uncontrollable laughter. Miki is definitely my favorite character in this series of books because she is hilarious, doesn't take crap from anyone, and is supper- smart. This book is a breath of fresh air.

I've read several others by the same author and she always delivers a fun and exciting plot. I is a wonderful light read with lots of laughter mixed in with some good action and wonderful sex.

I love the whole Magnus and pride storylines and how their lives are connected. There's lots of adventure, romance and hot sex. I would recommend all of the books in this series. But i have to say this is favorite. Shifter's rule!

This book was even better than the first! It was funny and sweet, with some action. I could not put it down but was sad to see it end. Can't wait to read the next one! Matter of fact i think i will go buy it now!
