Previously, Mast was head men's basketball coach at Parkland College, an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith and a basketball grad assistant at the University of Kansas. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and a master's in architecture from the University of Kansas. SHAWN DONNELLY is a writer and editor in Brooklyn, New York.
