Jadeblossom, her mate Burnblack, and her two kits, Claykit and Torekit, lay in a cave. They had no clan. Burnblack had been bringing them food, for which Jadeblossom was extremely grateful. Apparently the kittens were too; Claykit dove into the fat rat in gory hunger. Torekit wrestled almost playfully with its legs, trying to pull them apart from its body. "Torekit! You are behaving like a wolfpup! Stop!" Their father commanded before settling down with his squirrel. Jadeblossom peeked at him through her light green eyes. She then gulped down her meal. The kits, now very full and sleepy, yawned and drifted off. Burnblack gave them a fond look. "Goodnight, darling." He purred. Jadeblossom returned it and they too started to sleep.

I sat there, waiting for someone to adopt me. My eyes shimmered at evryone who walked by. I pawed at the cage door and did tricks. I sat and behaved. No body bought me. Training time! Daffidol my btf(best trainer forever) opened my cage. "Sun!" She called. I imediatly jumped into her arms. "Good girl!" She cooed. Im a mutt which means a mix of things you dont know... i ran into the training room and sat like she taught me. "Laydown...roll over... up... shake" she commandded. I zdid these and went back to the cage. I sat waiting for a family to adopt me. "Mama!" Screamed a fourteen year old. "Lily! Act your age!" "Sorry. Can we get sun?""yes." They took me home after the papers were done and i live happy.-Sun

A small kitten stood on the peak of a hill. Mist rolled in sheets around her, thunder carshed in the sky. Above, starry cats looked down. "This is the one," a beautiful silver shecay meowed. "Are you sure my daughter?" A muscular tom with a crooked jaw asked, "shea so young...." "its her," the shecat assured, "father she will be the one with the choice to destroy or save the clans." "Silverstream.....," the tom trailed off, "you have been wrong before." "I was never wrong about Graystripe," silverstream hissed through clenched teeth, "i loved him. You know nothing about true love." "I dont think you mean that," the tom snarled, "i loved her....its not my fault she died."
"Isn't it?" Silverstream's eyes glinted, "you were the one who made that promise to Mapleshade, you caused everyones deaths." "Mapleshade caused those deaths," he hissed, "you know that." The shecat turned away, "were off topic," she murmered, "what about the kit?" "Handel it yourself," the tom murmered. "Crookedstar...." silverstream trailed off as he stalked away, "this is why she will save or destroy us. We are corrupting ourselves."---------green eyes glinted out of the shadows. Purr-fect. A voice purred....just purr-fect.

Prologue~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Leaf shivered as a scorching cold wind filtered the old fox den. Her only kit,Twilight, mewed pitifully while the draft stung their ear tips. Hunger pierced Leaf's thin body. Regretfully she slowly dragged herself from the den into the freezing air. She shuddered as the icy breeze ruffled her fur the wrong way. Leaf padded softly through the forest, only the sound of the bird's chittering kept Leaf company. Suddenly, fangs ripped her soft flesh open, the scent of fox mixing with the musty tang of her own blood. She never came back to the hole.
