    A VERY UPLIFTING BOOK

This book was fantastic. It was filled with heart warming true life stories. They were filled with such hope. This book connected with me not like any other book I have ever read. Let's just say I had to have plenty of tissue's handy. It's hard to believe what these authors have been through. The strength and courage it must have taken, but some way somehow they found it... And made a U-turn. A VERY POWERFUL MESSAGE OF GOD'S LOVE.

    Put Your Turning Signal On

Move over CHICKEN SOUP. GOD ALLOWS U-TURNS is about to share your spotlight. This compilation of 100 plus true stories focuses on universal themes, like love, forgiveness, salvation, grace, and healing. The stories range from 500 to 2500 words. Stories in the book were selected from more than 1600 submissions that flooded the editor¿s website since last February. This encouraging series was spawned by the author's desire to share the story of her personal victory over abuse, divorce and abortion. Her focus, as well as that of the other selections in the book, is on how obstacles were overcome when the persons involved turned to the Lord for help and to the Bible for direction. These stories are well written, the topics are common place, and the experiences tug at one¿s heartstrings. They are great for sharing; pastors will find them useful to illustrate sermon points. Given the success of the CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL books and the desperate need for an encouraging word from a biblical perspective, I expect this new series to move to the top of the reading charts.

If You Need a Lift, God Allows U-Turns Delivers

When I read the new book, God Allows U-Turns, Volume One, I was both moved by the stories and impressed with the quality of writing found in this inspiring collection. The introduction, written by the founder of this new series, Allison Gappa Bottke, was particularly touching in its raw honesty and beauty. It's difficult to pick out a favorite story. They are all wonderfully different yet carry the same, uplifting message of hope and healing. This is a book that anyone could relate to in that it clearly shows our humanism and our weaknesses while providing a good dose of hope for all. I look forward with great anticipation to future volumes.

    Need Inspiration?

Feel like you have come to the end of the road and there is no hope. Then this book is for you. Whether you read it in small bites or at all once you will come away knowing it is not too late. God is there for you--no matter how far you have drifted from Him. You will not be the same after you read this book of inspiration. The inspiration comes in many different stories but you will find one or more that will touch your life.

A must-read for anyone facing change or difficulty!

Allison Gappa Bottke has compiled a collection of inspirational short stories to bring hope and healing to hurting hearts. At her web site www.godallowsuturns.com one can find a statement of faith and learn more about the upcoming books in the series. As a contributor to Volume One, I received my advance copy about a week ago. Rather than read through the book in one sitting (as I did and you'll be tempted to do), savor one or two stories daily. Reading through the book a second time, I found many morsels of truth that I missed during my first reading. It is a book you'll enjoy reading time and time again.

Gripping Tales of Hope and Healing

I saw this book the other day at the local Christian bookstore as it was being unpacked from a box. I figured what the hey, and picked up a copy. The stories within litterally blew me away. The stories are written by all sorts of people from all walks of life. With the stories put into chapters like 'God's Plan' and 'Angels Amongst Us' it's easy to find something to quickly inspire. And some of these short, bite-sized tales jump right out at you and stay within your heart long after you've put the book down. Peter Addo's 'A Night Before,' stays with me, and I find myself testifying of the breathtaking imagery of Matthew Jame's 'The Cross' to everyone I meet. It is impossible to read these stories and not feel God's love. I had always felt let down by Chicken-soup type books. Not anymore.

    Inspirational and Heartwarming!

I thoroughly enjoyed each and every story in God Allows U-Turns. The first chapter, entitled 'God's Love,' had me reaching for my Kleenex box the stories were so warm and touching. There just aren't words enough to say how moving and inspiring these stories are. This book testifies to the fact that God truly does wonderful things in our lives. I think it would make an excellent gift for a friend or loved one struggling with their faith or in need of a good dose of God's comfort and joy.

Will earn the most 'Heart' hitting book of the year award!

This book is certain to rise to the top of the charts instantly. A collection of the best true life short stories I have ever read. Stories about joy, faith, hope, revelation and healing, all pointing the way to how God works in our lives each and every day. Keep a box of Kleenex handy, you'll need it for this one. I hope there is another one because I can't wait to read the next collection by Bottke and her co-authors. Keep up the great work you three. The world needs more of these great stories.

    A Mental Vacation

God Allows U-Turns by Allison Gappa Bottke is appearing in bookstores all around the city I live in. The stories contained in this book are refreshing and renewing. They plant little seeds of hope in your heart. The stories are short and to the point. It only takes a few minutes to have your faith in God and man renewed. Each story allows you to slip away for a short 'mental vacation'. You will find yourself opening this book several times a day.

    God DOES Allow U-Turns

God Allows U-Turns, Stories of Hope and Healing, by Allison Gappa Bottke is going to blow out the doors of traditional story collections. The first book in the God Allows U-Turns Series is a collection of 100 true life-changing stories from people around the world. The scope of this project is enormous. Included are stories that give the reader a warm fuzzy like Lea MacDonald¿s, ¿Everybody Knows Everybody¿ where six-year-old Brandon states, ¿We all `comed from God. He made us all. We are all family.¿ There are the touching tearjerkers, as in Candace Carteen¿s, ¿In God¿s Eyes,¿ that cause you to see others as God might see them. ¿The Garden¿ by Alex and Dawn Edwards shows how everyday faith can change people¿s lives as a gang of youth constantly beats and taunts an old gardener. The man, walking in his faith, touches the heart of one gang member in particular, changing the youth¿s life forever. God Allows U-Turns, Stories of Hope and Healing faces issues like divorce, addictions, abuse and other hard-hitting topics head-on. Bottke¿s own story, the genesis of the entire project, says you don¿t have to continue down that dead-end road. You can change your direction, drastically and eternally with His guidance and begin a new journey on the road of life. God Allows U-Turns is truly a book of hope and healing to all. Regardless of the wrong choices we have made in our lives, no matter the rocky path we are traveling, God Allows U-Turns.

    Heavenly Gift!

This book is packed with stories that will truly make a difference in your life. It is unforgettable and truly inspiring. Stories of a father signing 'I love you' to his deaf baby, of a woman and her children showing kindness to a tattooed stranger, of God's love in every page.

    Profound Impact

God Allows U-Turns is filled with true stories that touched my heart and encouraged me. What a joyful book. I¿ve used it as a devotional, savoring two or three stories each day. After reading each story I felt as though a new friend had shared a special blessing from God with me. The Hug Fund on page 73 encouraged me to start one of my own. Our lives are filled with people who need a hug from God. Simple yet profound ways to touch and impact lives in positive ways. As I read each chapter it helped me to realize others have faced problems similar to mine. With God¿s help I too can find hope and healing. This is a book to be shared with friends and family and one I will reread again and again.

God Allows U-Turns Motivates and Inspires

God Allows U-Turns is a collection of short stories which inspire the mind and heart. The book is divided into sections with topics of faith and healing. Each section has numerous quick reads which will make you think and encourage you to make positive decisions for your life. This is the first in a series of U-Turns books which compare to the Chicken Soup for The Soul books. The remarkable words ring true and stick with you long after you have put the book down.
