I bought my first copy of God Calling in 1991 and it has been a loving part of my life every since. Sometimes I go for months reading it daily and at other times I might not picke it up for months at a time. Whenever I read it I feel like I have just spent a very special, intimate moment with Jesus. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to share a very special time with Jesus. After reading this book I felt like I heard Him speaking to me more clearly. I have given many copies of this book to others as gifts.

I just started "God Calling" journal. I was a bit cautious as it was written by two anonymous women called "two listeners". Please do an Internet seach for "Two Listeners". It will surprise you. I will continue with the devotional with a discerning heart...

I have read this daily for more than 20 years and have given this book to all my family and friends. It is inspirational to me and strangely fits with my life each day. It is great to have it on my NOOK so I have it and other books with me at all times especially when traveling. Rknows

This book has proven instrumental in my spiritual development. I have never read anything that so accurately speaks to me as if God himself were right before me. I often do "spiritual dips" where I pray for guidance and then , with my eyes closed, I randomly choose a passage. Not once,ever, has this not completely related PERFECTLY, what I needed to hear. I challenge anyone to try this. I love this book more than any book I have ever read and believe in its divine annointing. So much so, that I buy five copies at a time and give them to people randomly as God leads me. I have been blessed enought to have given somewhere around fourty copies thus far. I wish I could give thousands!

This book is definitely an inspiring classic. God Calling was introduced to me as a gift from a friend in 1996. I read it today as if it is a new find. Year after year, day after day you receive something from this lovely book that calms the spirit and brings peace to your day. I have bought many copies of this book and have given it to friends, family or people that are lost and the response is always the same...absolutely inspiring. So if you need direction, confirmation, calming or just a sense of peace you must pick up this book. You will be amazed at how it can start your day or end it on a note of 'wow, I guess someone does understand'. God works in our lives in many ways and I know that these women heard and felt a calling that I am so glad they acted on because for me in times of calm and/or stress this book has brought to me a peace that I hope everyone discovers.

I'm a Catholic who most often chooses to read Catholic spiritual works only. I picked this up and what I read spoke directly to my heart. On more than one occasion, the words have been extremely pertinent to what was happening in my life at that time, and I've not found anything contrary to our Catholic Faith. In fact, one entry on redemptive suffering (offering it up) was a surprise, as far as how it fit Catholic teaching precisely.

God Calling and God at Eventide is a daily must reading to start understanding how to live a life with Father Almighty and in doing His Will.
Together with the little, but yet extremly important Book : The Way Home or Face The Fire , my life has changed to the undescribably better. Trust, Faith, Love and Humility are important tools that are needed in living a life with Christ.
However your state of mind at any given day, the message from God in God Calling and God at Eventide gives you hope, insight and strenght as well as an uplifting comfort to handle whatever the day may bring.

i received this devotional as a Christmas gift six years ago. I have purchased it twice and this time in ebook format so I can take it with me when I travel. Every year is like reading it for the first time. Enjoy!

I found this book in my father-in-laws belongings after he passed away. It has become the most cherished find. I plan to purchase this book as a gift for many. Thank-you Lord Jesus!

I bought my first copy of God Calling in the 80s. After the original and a large print version, I was glad to see the NOOK version. Now, I won't have yellow pages with turned corners. But, it is still calling me back to what is really important in life. Great for everyone!

The day I opened this book I knew this book would change my life. Some may think that is silly but I believe everyone in this world who believes in Jesus Christ should have a copy of this book. Some days are always better then others but at the time when I got this book I was going through a lot. I know in my heart God put this book in my life for a reason. It changed my life! It helped me get through a lot of tough times. In this book you are reminded just how much God is in your everyday life. Things you may not have payed much attention to before start to show in a whole new light. Its very inspiring!It helped me open my eyes and be thankful God has always been by my side. I passed the book onto a couple of friends that were going through tough times and they too say the book made a difference. One of them were actually thinking about ending her own life until she read only a few pages in this book. She cried and laughed. There are so many great emotions when reading this book. I believe in my heart that God Blessed the man who wrote this book and this book has many purposes. And I am very thankful to RJ Russel for writting such a beautiful gift to the world. In the 1990's, I was given this book by a sweet friend, who had read it herself, every day for years. I began reading it and continue to read it every day and even write some notes in the margins from time to time to remind me of land mark things in my life, good and bad. Every year I read it through and it is still so meaningful and fresh. It helps me to stay balanced. I've given many of them to friends along the way and it is just as meaningful to them. I have searched for this book for some time, to no avail and am so happy to see it's back in print. You will be blessed by it and will find yourself closer to Him.

My mother gave me a copy of this book about 6 months ago. I loved it so much that I bought 2 additional copies to share with friends. I highly recommend it to start out each day.

It is refreshing to have communication with God, although many people are not aware to this level of spirituality, Father God does speak. He speaks, he teaches and he gives his concerns.

I have been reading and re-reading this book since it was first published in 1986. I cannot tell you the number of times this book has brought me the inspiration and divine guidance that I needed. You would think after 21 years of reading the same book I would know it by heart, yet I dont, every time I reach out for guidance an read it, its like the first time I've ever read the words. I dont know how anyone reading this book, couldnt get something out of it. Its like the Bible, not to be taken literally but left up to your own interpretation. Who cares who the Two Listners are/were that isnt the point of reading the book. As anyone who knows God, understands he will use whom ever he needs, to get his word out.
