Author Vanessa T Williams is a native of Maringouin, La. From an early age she found it easy to convey her thoughts to others through her written work. She understands the power of the spoken word and is aware of her authority as a Christian. Her one desire is to save marriages and heal families; she does this by sharing her past experiences. Vanessa is the owner of VanaGen Publications, a company that aids other writers in editing and publishing their work. VanaGen's Mission statement is "Pray without ceasing, Love relentlessly, and continuously hope.
Vanessa uses to the point logic to convey her intent and is bold in her beliefs. Her style of poetry is reminiscent of old literature as it steeps in vocabulary and wit. Her work inspires the young women to understand her place and her power. Her use of the phrase "I am" signifies that she creates the tone and the atmosphere in which she operates.
