More About This Book

Overview

"This book absolutely crucifies the argument for a benevolent creator. What's more, it uses the creationist's most-cited source to do it." - dailyatheist.net

God Hates You, Hate Him Back makes the ultimate case for the claim that the God of the Bible is the most wicked character in the pages of history. With a wit as dry as a martini, and the cross examination techniques of a seasoned lawyer, CJ Werleman lays out all sixty-six chapters of the Bible to present an irrefutable argument that indeed God hates us all.

If you have never read or never fully understood The Bible because of it's lifeless 16th century King's English then you will do no better than this unique, comedic, 21st century summary of the greatest story ever sold, or in Werleman's own words 'never read'.

God Hates You, Hate Him Back provides you with an arsenal of Biblical facts, stories, mythology and assertions to ensure you victory in your next religious debate.

    Worth the Price of Admission

Having read this book twice now cover to cover. I think the book definately makes the strong case GOD is a jerk. Now there is some profanity throughout the entire book, personally I find it charming and refreshing. But that aside, the book is completely dead on, tearing apart piece by piece the entire bible and stripping it down to it's bare components. As Isaac Asmiov once said, "Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived", it's 100% true to its word. The sad thing is that most people will probably shutter at even being caught dead buying this book because of the title, but it is a good read, and FUNNY read as well. If you want something more "New Testament" the author does have his latest book "Jesus Lied He was only human, debunking the new testament" as a follow up.

    Yes, but use discretion

His dissection of each book of the bible is concise and informative and does provide some additional key points to the debate. As far as writing style this book isn't for everyone, taking the Hitchen's approach to a new level just as the title indicates.

As an avid Atheist I cannot agree more with pointing out the outrageous and hypocritical doctrines of all 'sky-thingy' belief systems. That being the case I can do without extreme profanity. The 1st chapter is comical and had me laughing out loud...love the Noah trotting around the globe in clogs! but this increasingly turns into unadulterated anger.

I'm usually quite proud to publicly display the book titles that represent my beliefs, perhaps my own way of provoking those who notice to at least acknowledge we're here, but this one alienates and puts 'us' on the defense. This book is more geared towards those in the justified indignation phase of the journey to rationalism.

    Great Book!

What a wonderful book. I've read several books on atheism, and this one was by far the easiest, most intriguing book I've read. CJ did a great job of breaking down the Bible with wit and intelligence. Highly recommend this book. A book this good should be read by people with and without faith. I will be reading CJ Werleman's books hopefully for a long time.

    A TRUE jaw dropper!

WOW! This was the most interesting book I have EVER read! With all of my heavy reads on philosophy and world religion this book was such very refreshing. The fact that you can dissect the bible so well and in such a humorous way, is truly amazing. I personally love the fact that I can now share some of the humor from your book regarding the bible and its inconsistencies in a form of a joke rather than and argument to get my point across! LOL Thank you, CJ Werleman, for enlightening me even more!

    Why is this book....

Why is the book NOT available on NOOK? It is available on Kindle (which I did not buy) because B&N said there were a million titles on NOOK. Most of the non-fiction I want to read is not available on NOOK. WHY??
    Shouldn't everything be made available?

    Good Read

I love how the book gave a synopsis of each book of the Bible. It was easy to read, entertaining, and funny. I didn't have a Bible on hand to read along with and, as a result, I have to trust what the author wrote. Also, Christians tend to quote or agree with the King James Version of the Bible being the "most accurate." CJ Werleman used the New International Version (NIV)which easy to read, but claimed to be inaccurate.

Overall, I highly recommend this book and suggest you have a Bible on hand when reading. In this way, you'll get the full experience of what the Bible is all about, and maybe become an Atheist... if not one already :)

    Excellent

One of the best 'page turner's I've read in a long time. Excellent book.

The title almost put me off from buying it, but very glad I did. I've already convinced two of my christian friends to read it. :)

    Brilliant Summary of the Bible

This book is really a fun way to read and learn the critical parts of the Bible. Very interesting read and unique perspective with many laugh out loud moments.

Very different approach to Dawkins & Hitchens. This book really will convert believers to atheism or at least agnosticism imho
