Very good

I love when a non-fiction book comes along that really speaks to me and as I'm reading it I can think of people to recommend it to. God Knows My Name is just such a book. I have actually done a lot of study on this particular subject, what makes this book worthy of recommendation above some others I've read is how easy to read and understand it is. It clearly lays out who you are in Christ and what you mean to Him backed by lots of great scriptures and stories all by an amazing woman of God. I would recommend this to new Christians or those who have been Christians most of their lives - it will benefit all of us.

    God Knows My Name

God Knows My Name is a gentle reminder about how much we are loved. We are treasured by our loving Heavenly Father, even beyond our ability to understand or comprehend. Beth Redman takes us on a journey to discover just how much God wants to have a personal relationship with us.

This book is a quick and easy read, and it was almost like having coffee with a friend. It actually reminds me of having a chat with a best friend who encourages and cheers us on ... to keep going, reach for the prize, and never give up. Beth Redman stresses the importance of a daily relationship with God, even when we think He doesn't care. I love the subtitle of this book - "Never Forgotten, Forever Loved".

There is so much wisdom packed into this little book, and I really enjoyed reading it.

    Finding acceptance, love and worth!

    My Review:

In the book, God Knows My Name, Never Forgotten, Forever Loved, by Beth Redman, you get an insight into the very nature of who God is and what you mean to Him. This book was such a refreshing read for me during a time of dryness in my life and a constant reminder that God is still present and working for my good at all times in my life even if I don't think He is.

You are given an intimate look at God as your helper, your defender, your restorer and how God sees you from your past into the future that remains unknown to us, but in perfect alignment to His will. I think this book is a great gift to purchase for those that doubt whether their own past mistakes prevent them from truly knowing the love and goodness of God and His unconditional love for us.

I received this book, compliments of B & B Media Group for my honest review and would easily give this one a perfect 4.5 out of 5 stars. For more information on this book, the author and where to get your own copy, click on the links below:

    Forgotten - Prolouge

A full moon glowed on smooth granite boulders, turning them silver. The silence was broken only by the ripple of water from a small stream and the swaying of trees in the wind.

There was a stiring in the shadows, and in the forest was a woman. She was about thirty and was carrying a small bundle in her arms. A child. But it was no night of fun. Suddenly, the woman heard a gun fire and the sound of women and children screaming filled her ears. Worried and frightened, she began to run for the densest part of the woods, but heard another gunshot, this time much louder and closer to her. Trying to stifle her own scream, she ran as fast as she could, but she knew she couldn't go on forever, for the others were gaining. Running out of breath, she decided to her baby somewhere safe. She spotted a small hollowed hole in a dead willow tree and gently placed the baby inside on a dead pile of leaves. The child started to cry, so the woman sang a lullaby:
Sleep now my baby
My poor sweet one
Momma wont be here
To guide you along.
But i'll be with you
In your dreams.
Sleep now my baby
Sleep...

And the baby slept. "Remember my voice. Remember my love. I love you, my sweet daughter..." She gave the child a kiss on the cheek and strarted to run in the other direction, hoping to draw the monsters away and hoping with all her might that the child wouldn't hear her scream. But the baby did.
