    great Goddess saga

Venus muses that being the Goddess of Love should have perks instead she finds herself alone with ennui as her companion because her family and friends are preoccupied. Needing to shake herself out of the doldrums, Venus figures a trip to earth is always entertaining although it seems like a lifetime in Goddess years has passed since her last trek to the mortal plane. She wants to go to some place new so she decides to visit modern day Tulsa. Venus has a good time in Tulsa, but really gets energized when she detects a human desperately needing a dramatic change on lifestyle as no one could be more pathetic with men than Pea Chamberlain is. Venus works on Pea¿s self esteem while revealing who she is and her unhappiness with her platonic marriage to the God of Fire Vulcan. Neither female is aware that Vulcan is watching them from afar which leads to his falling in love with the human. Venus is also falling in love with a mortal, firefighter Griffith who sets her soul ablaze. --- Only P.C. Cast could come up with the romantic entanglement of this fab four. As always with Ms. Cast¿s Goddess sagas, the blending of mythology and the modern world feels smooth and effortless. The story line is fast-paced and filled with entanglements as is the norm whenever humans and Gods meet. Fans of romantic fantasy will want to read this delightful tale (and the previous legends) starring a fabulous Cast of characters who make for a wonderful reading experience. --- Harriet Klausner

    A Must Have!

Every book gets better and better. P.C. Cast has outdone herself on this steamy "Goddess" book. I never recomend reading these out of order, but if you haven't started reading these... you should. Not for children.

This is my new favorite wirter!!!

I have read almost all of P.C. Cast's books, and each on gets better and better, although I have a few favorites and this is one of them. Once you start reading her books you can't stop. Literally. I can't stop reading one once I've started. I fall in love with her characters, and all the women in her books have brains, and have gumption. All the men/Gods are not so hard to love either. They are real men. Not many of those left these days. At least for women of my generation. But I must say I was lucky.
I really do laugh and cry when I read her books. I feel a connection to her characters that I must say I don't normally feel. I hope that anyone who is interested in this series but isn't sure, and doesn't want to waist their money, to give these wonderful, original, witty, romantic, and lovable characters a chance.

    Good, but Spring was Better

This was a cute yet sensual book that I really enjoyed reading. I especially loved the ending to this story (and they lived happily ever after)! If you like love stories and mythology then you're in the right place. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!

I found the Goddess Summoning series last year and haven't been

I found the Goddess Summoning series last year and haven't been disappointed with any of the books yet. Goddess of Love was a light, entertaining read that fulfilled my need for romance with mythology.

Venus, the Goddess of Love isn't satisfied with her marriage of convenience. After a talk with her gal-pal Persephone about the wonderful kingdom of Tulsa she tags along on a shopping spree. Little did she expect to hear a mousy, awkward woman summoning the Goddess of Love for help.

Pea Chamberlain lusts after Griffin, the sexy fireman that rescued her dog from a tree. Her issue is she seems to embarrass herself every time he is around. One of the scenes had me laughing yet cringing on Pea's behalf.

"The huge phallus rolled out of the bag to land, vibrating cheerfully, at the feet of a man who was so exceptionally handsome that Venus wondered that she hadn't noticed him earlier."

Goddess of Love is like the other books in this series, there are 4 main characters and it's basically two romance stories mixed into one. Each story has it's own twist, so the series is actually decent and doesn't seem repetitive. This book seems to have a lot more humor than the others, so I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys mythology mixed in their romance.

    Another Winner by PC Cast

I love the Goddess Summoning series by PC Cast. She is an excellent writer and all of these books are emotional rollercoasters. This one was a very quick read for me and Venus is hilarious! This one is not my favorite in the series but I would definately recommend it! However if you read the series make sure you read them in order. After Goddess of Spring there are many refrences back to that book. I give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars!

    A Sweet Story

My girlfriend actually got me to read this book. I didn't think I'd like it but I was looking for something to read at the time. I actually liked it a little more than I thought. Of course, I don't think many guys will be into it but it had some parts. The story isn't so original but, it does have its twist that takes it in a different direction. Hope you enjoy it like I did. -A Dude
