What a blessed book this is for any child of God! A book that opens our eyes to the things above not the things of the world. Opening up to us to pray for breakthroughs in our families on the spiritual levels.
It is very well put together. When I received the book, I wanted to read it all immediately (which I do however have the habit of doing) but I chose not to. I chose to read it one or 2 chapters at a time, and then decided to do my book review. Yet when I went to do my review I didn't feel very well at all. Yes I waited until I felt better. Here is the kicker though.
I was ill but then I as write this, there were healing verses in this book. Healing verses for any family who needs them. Healing verses to bring family members to salvation. Healing to bring mercy and compassion to those family members. For prophectic ministries also to bring them about.
If any of us needs this. It is now. We need to know that We have power, and God through his word, gives us the power to pray for things to come about in His timeing. His Word is our double edged sword. John is teaching that to us in his books. If God is serious about His covenants then we should be also.
I received this book from Charisma house for my honest opinion and review.

John Eckhardt in his new book, "God's Covenant With You For Your Family" published by Charisma House asks us to Come into agreement with Him and unlock His power.

From the back cover: From the Old Testament to the New, God has never consistently blessed a people without first having a covenant with them.

John Eckhardt's previous series on prayer has sold over half a million copies. In this new series that follows the same dynamic format, he shares his teaching on covenant and the blessings that accompany it.

Covenant is the foundation of everything that we are as believers. Based on the covenant blessings listed in Leviticus 26:3-12 and Deuteronomy 28:1-14, John Eckhardt's covenant series outlines how covenant is enacted in every part of our lives from marriage and family to deliverance and freedom all the way to our finances. God's Covenant With You for Your Family covers:

    · Explanations on what covenant means in the Old and New Testaments· What God says about you and your household· Maintaining your covenant with God and breaking generational curses
When we stay true to our covenant with God, we can be sure that no matter what storms come in life, it is God's everlasting covenant of peace that will bring us through victoriously and sustain us.

A Biblical covenant is basically an agreement between God and man. The amazing thing about His covenant is that God initiates the agreement. God does not need to do this yet He does and all He wants is that we agree with Him in this covenant. How do we do this you ask? Apostle Eckhardt gives us the understanding that we need within these eight sections. Each chapter is small but packed with divine truth. This is not a book that you want to speed read through. This is a book that you want to chew on every thought because you want to make what you learn real in your life by implementing what you learn. If you do not understand the power of covenant then this book is for you. If you do understand covenant this book is still for you because of the depth of knowledge it contains. This is a book that you will refer back to over and over again. It is also a great gift for friends and family so that they, too, can learn and implement God's covenant in their lives.
