I discovered this book by chance, just browsing. The cover picture was one I had experienced myself as I too had been to the same river as a child just one year older than the author! Inside, I found names of children that I knew there and who are now in the US. There is a special bond among children who have been essentially raised elsewhere but have to return to America. Wonderful book of memories and feelings about growing up there.
