This is often the question of skeptics, scoffers, and even troubled souls. This book focuses on the heavenly throne from which God rules according to His perfect will and unchangeable, unfailing purpose. God is in absolute control of all things: the big issues of the world, as well as the seemingly bigger issues of our lives. Daniel's view of history and prophecy shows that God's kingdom is coming and that God's will is being done on earth as certainly as it is in heaven. Daniel's message is simply, "Not to worry–everything is under control."

MICHAEL P. V. BARRETT (B.A., M.A., PH.D.) is the President of Geneva Reformed Seminary. He is also Associate Minister at Faith Free Presbyterian Church in Greenville, South Carolina. For almost thirty years, he was a professor of Ancient Languages and Old Testament Theology and Interpretation at Bob Jones University and Seminary. His other works include Beginning at Moses: A Guide to Finding Christ in the Old Testament and Complete in Him: A Guide to Understanding and Enjoying the Gospel.
