Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
I still love to watch the birds at the feeder in my backyard, so it is easy to understand Caillou's excitement at the planned trip to go birdwatching with his grandmother. She takes him to the park and cautions him to be quiet and still—the hardest thing for a young active child. But his patience is rewarded when a little chickadee actually eats some birdseed from his hand. At the end of the outing Grandma has a very nice surprise¾a birdfeeder that hangs outside and now Caillou can watch the birds come and enjoy the seeds that he will be leaving for them. Part of the "Backpack" series and based on the TV series. 2001, Chouette,
