What a nice change! I really like gritty mysteries, and relationship books where someone is always doing something terrible to someone else, but this second book in the Grace Chapel series, is a wonderful read about reasonable people, with normal issues in a small town. Three sisters have decided to run a bed and breakfast in their father's huge old home, right beside the Grace Chapel Church where their father was the minister for years before his death last year. Aunt Ethel had lived with her brother, helping with his ministry, ever since his wife died when the three sisters were younger. Now they need to hire a new minister, but no one seems to satisfy Aunt Ethel, who seems to want a clone of their dear dead father. Interviewing pastors come to town, and one seems to grow in popularity as he deftly, and Godly, helps in numerous developing situations within the community. Such a pleasure to return to the best in small town life, where people find their answers with Biblical teachings. The characters are very believable with their faults and individual dealings. Really enjoying this Grace Chapel series written by various Christian authors, and published by Guideposts.
This book was wonderful! I read it to the residents at the nursing home I work at and they loved it. I did not realize when I started reading this book that it was a part of a series, but I am looking forward to reading the others!
