I was overly excited to begin reading book #1 in the Time Spirit Trilogy Golden Blood written by a wonderful author Melissa Pearl. Within a few pages I was completely hooked and had a hard time putting it down. Melissa Pearl wrote a wonderful story about time travel, family loyalty, secrets and first love. Because of their DNA Gemma, her parents and twin siblings can travel into the past, change the wrongs and make the world a better place. Fearing people will use their gifts for personal gain Gemma walls herself of from the world to protect the family secrets. Gemma has admired Harrison from afar for some time now when her accidentally catches her on a return from one of her trips into the past. Now she must decide to follow her heart or keep her families secret. Golden Blood is a uniquely written story. The relationship between Gemma and Harrison become one of those great star crossed love stories and you can't help but root for their relationship to be allowed to continue. Golden Blood is filled with romance and exciting thrills that keep you entertained until the very end. Just when you think you know where the story is heading Melissa Pearl takes a complete twist that has you slightly panicking for Gemma an Harrison. I cannot wait to read what she has in store for Gemma and Harrison with book #2 in the Time Spirit Trilogy Black Blood.

I really loved this book. I loved it so much that I finished it in one sitting and was immediately ready to read the next book in the series. This is the best free book that I have ever read and I loved the idea of the secret that Gemma and her family are hiding. I strongly recommend that you read this book.

Hats off to you melissa pearl! I LOVEthis book! All the characters are very realistic and i love reading about them. The story line is perfectly put together, and there are enough twists and turns to keep the reader clenching the book with white knuckles and begging for more at the end. My favorite part of the book, was harrisons multiple promises to keep gemma safe. Overall, AMAZING book, reccomended for ages 13+

OMG I could not put this book down! I was literally hooked after the first page and that doesn't happen too often. Melissa Pearl is an absolute master of story telling. The way she weaves the plot and characters into her story leave you desperately wanting more.
The moment I 'met' Gemma Hart, I felt for her. I mean how can you not feel for a girl who is pulled back in time by her parents whenever they want to? I mean, the poor girl has a life of her own. Okay, maybe she doesn't have much of a life because of her parents but this whole predicament just made me desperate to turn the page and find out what happens next.
The second I finished this book, I bought the second in the series... I'm so glad I have a Kindle so that I could literally, at the click of a button, continue reading!

Yet another author who thinks it's romantic for the teen girl to have no self-esteem and her love interest to be a demanding, stalkery, narcissist. The guy can't even defend *himself*, and demonstrates no understanding or respect for the girl lead, but somehow he's the awesome, strong one in the relationship. Gag me.

The plot is great for starters. The whole story line kept up the pace for the amazing journey. It is one of my favorites now. It never felt the least bit boring. I can't wait until I get started on number two! Anyone who loves books should read this no matter what genres they may enjoy. I hope you read the book. Another wonderful book is Wrapped by Jennifer Bradbury. Also check out Nicholas Sparks. (He is my FAVORITE author by far!) Enjoy! I hope this review helped. HAPPY READING!

Around 500 pages long. A really good read and FREE, but there are 2 more books in the series and there's kind-of a cliff-hanger at the end...

This was an amazing read that contained little mistakes for an ebook. The only thing I didn't like was the way Harrison, one of the leading male characters in the story, was so oppressive towards the protagonist, which felt like he was trying to force her to live a life thatbshe was completely willing to avoid.
Overall, it was really enjoyable.
