Fast paced with a ton of suspense toward the end. Charecters are very real. Wonderful sequel to the first volume! Spectacular page turner with cliffhangers at the end of nearly every chapter. A little bit of romance but its definitly not a "fluffy love book". I would recomend this book to any horse lover, horse racing fan, or any body else who enjoys a good book.

And i love it! A book that makes you feel what the characters are feeling is a winner. You get sucked into trish's depression and climb out into the light with her. I also love how she goes through what many teenagers do and stays " normal" even though shes won the triple crown and is like a celeb. And all through the book you feel her struggles with God and her faith. I did feel thay towards the end the whole thing got a little off track with that guy stalking her and trying to kill her. (and by the way i suspected him from the second she meets him and was not surprised when he was revealed. No im not naming names here that would ruin it for everyone else.) I felt like it turned into a action/ mystery story and thats not what it started out as. Even so, trish is still trish through it all and i would highly reccomend this book to any body wanting a good christian book and an eye- wetter.

To the person who said Golden Filly is a dumb name for the book. The writer picked the name Golden Filly cause Tricia is the Golden Filly. Shes a GOLDEN winner and shes a girl so FILLY is a tpye of nickname for a horse lover and race lover. Do you get it now. Sorry just wanted to point that out i love these books. Go Golden Filly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first two books in this collection are really depressing and sad:(  I actually gave up reading it after Tricia started to become depressed and angry and the book actually hinted at her thinking about suicide... it's just so sad and non-uplifting!  Now, I can't tell you what the last books are like in collection 2, so those might be way more sweet and fun like the first collection was.  I'm sorry if I sound picky, I really am.  BUT, it is written excellently with fantastic flow!  And the emotions, even the depression that I didn't like, was very realistic.  Overall, it was disappointing, but please, don't take only my review into account!  Go ahead and check out everybody else's reviews, because they are very favorable.  It might just be me:D  Blessings and may you feel God's joy! -Atalya

This is one of the best books i have ever read!! Very emotional and it is a christain book!! I love Trica Evanston even though she went threw some thought times she learned a great lesson! I even cried sometimes! Her dad died and she made it through God! I do not think i could have as much courge as her to make it through. This is an amazing book! I suggest that you should read the whole series! It will touch your heart!

I liked the book but it was soo unrealistic and what a dumb name," golden filly" implies that the book is about a filly but it isactually a colt. The book was also very predictble but it was still a page turner. Overall i loked it i recomend it for any one der then 6.
