Overview

During Color War, Natalie buddies up to the sixth division girls and ditches her fifth division friends, who couldn-t be more immature. Then Nat inadvertently catches the attention of a sixth division boy, and without so much as a blink of an eye, she's kicked out of the sixth division circle flat on her fifth division butt. Will Nat's friends take her back? Sure, but first she'll have to own up to a lot of immaturity on her part.

Meet the Author

Melissa J. Morgan started going to sleep away camp when she was eight years old and didn't stop until her first job after grad school refused her request for eight weeks of summer vacation. She's since quit that job to become a full-time author. The only reason she didn't go back to camp is that her husband refused to join her. Melissa lives in New York with him and Bugle, their Chocolate Lab.

    I Also Recommend:

    Color War

If you know about Color War (from books #4 and #10), then you will know that a girly camper, Tori, shouldn't be team captain. Tori is stressed with being a bad captain, while her camp BFF is off with popular older girls, and not keeping her promise to help her with the captain challenge. Natalie tries to fit in with older popular girls, but then gets in a fight over a sweet older boy. How will these rich girly girls solve their problems? Read "Golden Girls" to find out.

Another Camp Confidential that makes me remember why I don't like The Clique

Golden Girls is the newest installment to the Camp Confidential series. I love how Natalie's character has progressed from her first involuntary summer at Lakeview to her third summer where she's actually excited for Color War. Well, only becasue Lainie Wilcox, the most popular girl in the sixth division - actually, the most popular girl at the camp - takes an interest in Nat's unique style and invites her to hang out. Nat thinks they've become the best of friends, until she realizes Lainie likes the same boy as her. Nat, Torie, Priya are the stars in this book, their troubles about boys, friends, and being a team captain. The reason I love this book and the series is because everyone trys to get along and tries to help their friends, whereas in the popular series, The Clique, the girls are snotty, spoiled brats who could care less about their friends - in my opinion. The girls in the Camp Confidential series present good role models for young girls, and prove that you can have drama without 'like, ohmigod, I just got 10 gossip points, cuz I, like, bought a new Prada purse! It's ah-dorable! And that girl is, like, an immature child, cuz she's nice.'

    Teffric book

Camp cofidential books is my favirote seris of books. In this one Natalie starts to hang out with the six disvin. But it turns out Laine and Natalie like the same six divison boy. So who wins the boy at the end. And that not it Alex and Grace warn her about Laine's dump you to the side days. Even though Natalie say's thier real friends. During color war Candance tries to help Natalie with a color war activie because the other girls are not telling her anything about it. I don't want to spoil what the color war activie is because it's new. Let me just say it's Aylssa special talent. And on Tori side of the story. She decides that Natalie not helping her at captation like she said she just not going to worry about. One thing she has to do for the team is enter the pie competion. Jenna wins. But is not good for Tori at the end of the pie competion. Priya thinks that red sould lose on puprose so the blue team can win. Jenna total dosen't like the idea. Tori over hears them and starts to ingore Priya. And red team and blue are not talking to each other. What team wins at the end. Read the book.
