Overview

Foretell the future using a deck of regular playing cards and a divination game, which traces its origins to the principles of astrology and Chinese numerology.

The familiar Gong hee fot choy! means "greetings of riches," and confirms the ancient belief that life's odds are three-to-one in favor of prosperity over poverty, success over failure, and good fortune over bad. It is also thought that the future can be forecast—and even influenced—if we know how to interpret the signs and understand their meanings. Each playing card and each house (illustrated on the game board) are identified with a particular outcome. For a glimpse of what the future holds, grab a deck of playing cards and this book. Have fun and may fortune smile upon you.

This fortune telling game has been around for a long, long time and has been very useful and accurate in it's ability to make predictions. It is fun at parties, family gatherings and with friends. Hours of entertainment and everyone that has been told their fortune wants a copy for themselves. I highly rate and recommend this item.

I first used this book, its paperback form, 20 years ago, and found it interesting but not that helpful in terms of predicting.  Several months ago I started using it again, and this time I made notes every time I used it, marked my calendar regarding predictions that had time intervals indicated and followed the author's suggestion to layout a spread once a week.  I have found that the predictions are amazingly accurate, and I attribute that to the fact that I assume an attitude of seriousness when shuffling the cards, rather than a "show me, and THEN I'll trust what the results!" attitude.  As with most predictive practices, if approached with an attitude of skepticism, what results is gibberish;  if approached with open-mindedness, the results are rewarding.  I recommend this book for both fun and games, and for serious predictions, but not for a pseudo-scientific test to prove or disprove.

I was alittle dissapointed, I really like the gameboard very nice and colorful, They have condensed and words and lettering were not legigible just a messy version and having to turn lots of pages I wish it could have been each card on topic on the right page and the left page then move on to next card turn the page, I really like the paperback version but falls apart. wish they would make a hardback version of the old version.
