Clarke looks at the spectrum of helpful and harmful contents of food, from vitamins to fats and cholesterol. She also touches on food-related illnesses, such as eating disorders, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and diabetes. There are tips for keeping a food diary and more than 40 recipes to get you started on healthy eating. However, the recipe measurements are measured in grams and ounces rather than cups, and the oven temperatures are in Celsius rather than Fahrenheit, making them hard for Americans to use. The book includes a list of Clarke's favorite suppliers, but companies are all European based; again not very helpful for American readers.
