    Order Extra Copies

This book was recommended to me after my grandmother's passing in 2007. I only wish I had known about it when I experienced my grandfather's passing in 1992! There are all types of grief, different ways of experiencing it, and this book wonderfully covers the topic of grief in an easy to understand way. I have ordered extra copies to have on hand and I send them along with sympathy cards. Many have thanked me and I will continue to share this book.

    Just Ennough

A tiny little book with great insight into the different stages of grief. I found it extremely helpful and not overwhelming in length so that it held my attention. Anything longer and I would not have been able to concentrate. I recommend this book to anyone who has suffered a loss.

    A gift

I have ordered more than 20 copies. I received this from a psychologist friend of mine and it described the panic and emotion stage so well, I thought it was me. It transcends time and is a gift to pass forward to anyone who's lossed a loved one.

    Loss of a son

Good Grief was given to me by my church upon the death of my 31 year old son in 1989. At that time I felt that I would never stop hurting. I recommend it to your readers. Upon reading comments of other readers I must reread the book for more healing, for it is a process to heal.

A good friend of mine whose husband is a retired grief counselor

A good friend of mine whose husband is a retired grief counselor, recommended the book. I recently lost one of my dearest sisters who I loved like a mother. I have been very distressed about it. I bough the book to read it electronically, but after reading art of it , I realized I would love to have tangible. I think it is a wonderful way to learn that there is no one perfect way to grieve. I can identify with many of the ways the book talks about.

Enduring classic on coping with bereavement

Even though I'm a retired pastor (after over 41 years of ministry) and police chaplain (after 25 years), I recently ordered five copies of Good Grief and sent one of them to a person that had just lost her mother and was having difficulty coping with her grief. During my years of active ministry, I gave away dozens of copies of this helpful book. It's a short, simple, non-sectarian explanation of the kinds of emotions and reactions people can expect to have while dealing with the loss of a loved one or close friend. Among other things, it helps readers understand that their emotions are, in most cases, normal and not a sign they are losing their mind.

    Worthy of you time.

This is an excellent primer for one dealing with grief. We have been using it for the past several years in the grieving class at our church. It is a quick read and stimulates conversation.

    Wonderful, Classic Book!

Good Grief has stood the test of time because it is a wonderful, quick, easy read for those who are going through terribly difficult times. The most valuable thing about it, in my opinion, is how it explains the stages of the grief process. It helps the reader know that they are not alone during dark times and that the emotions they experience are completely normal. As a pastor, I have given this book to many people who are dealing with death and divorce. I highly recommend it.

    Excellent Reading Material

The book was given to me by my then soon-to-be Sister-in-law after the death of Fiance. It really helped to place in order the various stages we go thru during our season of grief. It helped so much, that I bought all my siblings-in-law a copy. It's a must- read!
