    Wow!

This book is gracefully empowering! It's NOT about putting down black women who want straight styles... Lonnice Brittenum Bonner is, "not into measuring negritude by hairstyles." Alright! It's about those of us who want a truly comfy, long and pretty alternative to weaves, perms and flat irons. It is eerily similar to my lifelong hair journey. I just paid too much for a heinous weave that I undid 3 days later, and I was just about to cut it again. I'd tried growing my hair out naturally before, but didn't know how to handle that 'in between' stage until now. This book guides you with hilarious accounts and detailed how-to's. You're pretty kinky black hair can grow long soft and wavy without heat bone straight perms or weaves. Black women: your hair is unique in all the world, and this book will show you how to care for and love it into long waves. I am so happy that I ought this book when I did. I'm sending my sister a copy now!

    Just impossible

For me this is a nonsense book. This is a rip off. Ladies, you should not need a book to be an "eye opener" you should love your hair

    Hope For Great Hair

I am 23 years old and mixed race, when I was young my mom would do the most wonderful things with my hair that was soft and had wonderful cork screw curls. When I turned 8 I stayed a summer with my uncle and his wife and she put a straight perm on my hair which spoilt the beautiful texture. Since then I have tried to grow out the perm but my hair was so thick that my mother didnt know what to do with it so she put a perm to soften and give me managability. Which has been the way I wear my hair except for two years when I wore a fade and then a micro afro. When ever I look at my old photos as a child I am angry that my aunt messed up my hair with chemicals. I bought 'Good Hair' to help me understand how I could get back my wonderful curls and wear my own natural hair. I understand why my hair has not grown past my shoulders since I got a perm and how chemical straighteners ruin the natural elegance of the african hair. I have decided to use the techniques in this wonderful little book that takes about an hour to read to grow out and maintain my own natural kinky hair. Mrs. Bonner has done a wonderful thing by sharing her experience with us and helping us to understand how the natural african hair is by far more wonderful than is commonly thought. I highly recommend you purchase this book if you want to stop killing your hair and give it a chance to show you how marvelous it is.

    Very Motivating

I went through the stages of converting from chemical to natural hair. A friend suggested that I read this book. After picking it up I could not put it down. I developed a since of pride in what the Lord had blessed me with, thick, dark, course, hair. Lonnice encourages us to admire what we have and educated me on how to work with my hair. Today I am even more proud to sport my natural mane. People stop me everywhere I go and ask what I have on my hair. When I tell them it's natural, they are shocked and want to know more about how to manage our hair. I always recommend this book to anyone that is going natural! Thanks Lonnice!
