Lmao. I got "kid married " then divores the first one darelle bc he picks his nose still n he is suuuper childish. The second one I bc when we kiss his lips were huge n gorrilla hard like n I kept gaging through math class n the teacher kept asking if I ws alright n every1 kept staring at me bc I kept moving around n falling off my chair.lol n my crush garren told the boy amari I'm breakin up with him bc his crusty lips! This is a small book packed full of recipes for all kinds of gatherings. Menu themes include Mother's Day Brunch, Potluck Patio Party, Family Reunion Picnic, Neighborhood Fourth of July Fun, Dinner on the Lawn Picnic, Fall Tailgate Party, Day After Thanksgiving Dinner Party, New Year's Eve Potluck Party, Super Bowl Shindig, and Midwinter Blues Bash. Each menu has several recipes for the theme that include appetizers, beverages, salads and side dishes, main entrees, and desserts for a complete meal.
I didn't find any recipes I wouldn't try and appreciated that they seem to use regular ingredients found in local grocery stores. The day after Thanksgiving recipes interested me because at our house there are always leftovers and this cookbook gives me some new ideas for using them. I made the Chunky Greek Salad (shown on the cover, lower left corner) from the Family Reunion Picnic menu with great results. It's a simple and healthy Mediterranean type salad I will make again, and I look forward to trying other recipes such as Turkey and Veggie Lasagne, Picnic Chicken Salad, Spiced Kielbasa and Summer Fruit Kabobs, and Apple Upside-Down Bread Pudding.
I like the format of this book with the spiral binding that allows it to lay open while being used, the hardcover, and the many color photographs - all things that make a good cookbook even better. Besides the easy recipes, there are also tips for creating a menu, assigning dishes to others, transporting food, and how to keep food hot or cold.
