Our eyes meet and we spend a moment looking into the others', reading the fear and the love that mingles within. I move slowly down and kiss her forehead, her nose, her eyelids, her cheeks, and her chin before I kiss her lips again--soft and gentle, not rushed, but sensual. She smiles and I die inside knowing that I won't get to see her face every day. I've been spoiled by this sweet angel giving me all her days and nights. I possessively take hold of her wrists and like so many times before, the air stills as our connection intensifies. I can't help myself when it comes to her.
I kiss her.
Rain pours down harder and I wrap my arms around her, engulfing her body, her love, her soul.
I have faith our love can overcome the obstacles that will undoubtedly arise from us choosing to be together, but I still worry... Will our good intentions be good enough?

What can I say? It's just as good as the first one! I'm in love with Evan! I always have been and always will be! If you've read Good Vibrations then you'll run for this one. If you haven't read it, WHAT are you waiting for? Has just the right amount of everything, drama, fun & love.. ;) Lisa FFC
I'm honestly not quite sure what to say in a review. I've had a tough time getting attached to the characters. I had hope to warm to them a bit more in this one, but I just wasn't feeling it. There are parts to the story that I do like and kept me somewhat entertained. It was easy to put down and it took a while for me to read, but this could be a good beach read.
I fell in love with Evan and Mallory in Good Vibrations so was very excited to see their story continue. Evan and Mallory really work on and connect their relationship in Good Intentions - there are so many tender moments where you get to see this relationship strengthening. Of course, hanging over their heads is the fact that Mallory goes back to Colorado in 1 month to return to school. The other big issue comes from Evan's family wanting him in New York working for the family business. How will they handle being separated? Excited for part 3!
Summer is the perfect time to read the Welcome to Paradise series just as I had suspected. The covers make me want to go to Hawaii and surf, and I've never surfed a day in my life. I'm lucky to walk across a porch without breaking an ankle. I liked Good Intentions even more than its predecessor, Good Vibrations. In this installment, Mallory is working on her trust in Evan while Evan is working on the issues he has after an accident a few years before. The question throughout the book is, will they be able to make a go of it with all of the obstacles in their path? I was back and forth in my thinking on that one - there were times I thought they'd end up together for sure, but then I wasn't convinced they'd be able to stay together. Sometimes I even found myself wishing Mallory could have met someone like Zach. They seemed to be doing just fine, but then I guess there wouldn't be a book. Mallory and Evan are really hot together, and their chemistry sizzles right from the pages. The problem with their relationship is it's either one extreme or the other - they're either feeling the highest of highs or the lowest of lows. It's as though their relationship is manic depressive and can't be healthy for either one of them. After delving into their histories, you begin to get the whole picture. New insight is given into Mallory and Evan. You learn the details of her ex-boyfriend from before she arrived in Hawaii, the accident Evan was involved in a few years ago, Mallory's insecurities involving Evan's wealth... everything I wanted to know more about back in Good Vibrations was addressed in this book. I was happy to find out I was right about Mallory's ex-boyfriend. There had been some insinuations about him in the first book, and I drew the correct conclusion. I flew through this book like I did the first one, and I really didn't want to put it down. This series makes me wish it would stay summer forever. I received a review copy of this book for the blog tour.
