Overview

Spunky North Carolina teen Bobbi-Jo Cotton is overweight, oversexed, underloved and misunderstood. When Dr. Harvey Lassiter—her former high school principal turned bicycle shop owner—sponsors a charity bike race, Bobbi sees an opportunity to test her Schwinn and her fortitude. And when Tom Cantwell, her best (and only) friend, reveals he’s crushing on her, Bobbi figures it’s time to quit passing out screws like they’re dentists’ office suckers.

What Bobbi is having a harder time letting go of is the resentment she feels toward her missionary parents, who, after abandoning her in the night, have flitted back into her life with a surprise: she’s about to be a big sister.

Will Bobbi win the race (and maybe even lose the weight)? Can she overcome her promiscuous past and earn the trust of the boy she just may love? Will her parents care enough about her—or her new baby brother—to stick around (and if they don’t, will she be tough enough to survive another of their betrayals)?

The only way to find out is to come along for the ride. The way Bobbi sees it, all of life’s questions can be answered from the seat of a bicycle. And if they can’t, at least your hair will look great fluttering in the breeze.

    Samanthas begining prolge

Samantha sneaked in the darkness hiding from telight of he boyfriends window the lights were on and two figures jazzed in the shadows. She frowned and snuck closer keeping her distance from the house keeping comfterbley clase to the bushes. Crickets chirped and the warm summer breeze swept through her. She suddenly ran jumping d hoppinh occosanly looking like a random shadow to hard for the naked eyes to see. She hit the wall o the house an felt its warmth. She sighed in releif and scootched towrds the window now she heard sounds like " yea baby!!! Come on come on suck it hard!!!!! You little sl.ut!!!!! " she her brows knit into a dark frown. She grit her teeth and lookd over the window frame peering into the brightly lit room. Inside lay her boy friend max with some other chick taking it hard. She hissed in annoyence and picked up a rock from the ground she steped back and threw the rock hurling it at the window smashing it to shreds. She fled from the house tears bluing her. A police cruser was near by and went to the house imideitly looking around. Samanth by then had already fled te seen and down te road. She couldnt remeber anything after that in the night.

    Bad Language

This book has very bad language in it. It does have a good story line though. I thought it was a teenager book, but I wouldn't want my teen reading it.

    Love this book

Love this book. One of my favorite free books. This book is for someone who is struggling with weight problems, love, family. Has a little bit of everything a young adult might deal with.

    Poorly Written

This is a lame excuse for a novel. It was porrly written and just all around a terrible read, I couldn't even finish. Personally, I choose this as a quick summer read because it was cheap and seemed to have some good reviews, but do not waste your money on it.
