CHAPTER 1

January

THE LORD BLESS YOU AND MAKES HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU THIS MONTH AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

JANUARY 1

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending" Revelation 1:8

Jesus

"I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end," says the Lord God.

I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come, the Almighty One." Revelation 1:8 NLT

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word is Jesus Christ who became flesh. Your salvation begins and ends with Jesus. Don't trade Jesus and your salvation for anything else in the world. Your day should begin and end with Jesus. Start today and the year with Jesus for he is the beginning and ending of all things. He is the author and the finisher of your faith. Only Jesus Christ can take care of your past, your present, and your future. Jesus is coming back one day for his bride—the Church. Let the Word of Christ richly dwell in you and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you daily through out this year. You are blessed!

God created all things by His word (Gen 1:1) and He is upholding all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). Jesus

But Jesus told him, "No! The Scriptures say, People need more than bread for their life they must feed on every word of God. Matthew 4:4 NLT

Jesus wants us to look to Him for a fresh daily bread from the Bible. God's word is our spiritual food required for our spiritual exploit. Just as you need physical food daily for your body, so do you need spiritual food daily for your spirit man which is the Word of God! The word of God is your daily manna from heaven (Exodus 16:4). Jesus

But if you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted John 15:7 NLT

Abiding in Christ demands that you feed on the word of the Lord on a daily basis! It also means that you obey His word by applying the word to every areas of your life. Jesus said that when his word richly dwells in you, you can ask God the Father what you want and it shall done for you. His words must influence your prayer life. "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" John 6:63

Jesus

"It is the Spirit who gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life" John 6:63 NLT

The Spirit gives life, but the flesh kills life or as Jesus said profits nothing. It is wise to invest your time and energy in that which gives life rather than that which profits you nothing. Will you invest in a business that you know will not give you profit? Can a farmer plant seeds in a field that cannot produce crops? Jesus wants you to connect to his life-giving word today, and the Spirit of God shall restore life, strength, healing and blessing to every area of your life. You shall not die but live and declare the works of God in Jesus name (Psalm 118:17).

JANUARY 6

And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day" John 12:47-48

Jesus

"If anyone hears me and doesn't obey me, I am not his judge—for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. But all who reject me and my message will be judged at the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken". John 12:47-48 NLT

Jesus said that judgment awaits anyone who rejects His word. The question is not if but when. The time will surely come when God will ask us to give account of the word we receive from Christ. Are you living and obeying the word of Christ? Do you measure your standard of living and your quality of life by the word of Christ? God shall bring every work we do into judgment (Ecclesiastic 12:14). The Holy Spirit is ready and willing to help you to live right today.

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock" Matthew 7:24

Jesus

"Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock" Matthew 7:24 NLT

Jesus expects us not just to hear his words but to do them. He said when we obey his word we are building our lives on a solid rock. No builder ever wants to build a house on a sandy foundation. Jesus says that is exactly what we are doing when we do not apply his words to our Christian lives. We are building our spirituality on a shaking foundation without the solid word of God to hold us up. Let us begin to change that today by obeying and doing the word of Christ as revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. Through wisdom a house is built. Proverbs 24:3.
