My child loves this book, and so does his mom and dad. With one set of grandparents who live on a lake, we already had "Good Night Lake". With the other grandparents living on the ocean, we thought this would be a good complement. We already have about 6 of these books, and I will say Good Night Beach and Lake are my son's favorite two. The book flows more for people who have been to oceans with beaches, whereas Good Night Ocean is not really traditionally beach-based at all, so not as exciting. I think this is a great option if it's purpose is for a child who gets to go to the beach at home, or to visit family, etc. And it is nice and long, as some of those books are shorter. I highly recommend.
