Overview

Charlie is having a normal day: she’s running late, her Malamute has treed Mrs. Rodriguez’ cat, and her car won’t start. But what does the note “MINE, NOT YOURS. GET YOUR OWN!!” mean? Things get stranger when her crazy ex-boyfriend makes a move on her, his crazy girlfriend camps out on her front porch and accuses her of stealing the guy back (as if!). But blowing up her car with a body inside is downright terrifying. Charlie and her friends try to unravel the clues even as the chaos around her continues. How many stalkers does it take to kill one person? You’d be surprised at the answer!

Meet the Author

I’m the daughter of a semi-retired Methodist minister, and have spent most of my life living in Texas and New Mexico (no, I am not a native Texan; I was born in the state of Washington). I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in 2000. I taught school for a couple of years before realizing that I really wanted to spend my time writing.

I’m a daughter, mother, wife, sister, granddaughter, taxi driver, feeder of teenage boys (who try to eat me out of house and home once a week). Currently, I live in North Texas with my husband and my teenage son (it’s his friends that I feed and drive around). I love sports, and while this blog is about writing, don’t be surprised if other topics pop up (for instance, how my beloved Redskins beat my husband’s Cowboys). I will probably post something goofy and funny once in a while; I have a wicked sense of humor and find almost anything funny.

That’s about it. If there is something else you want to know, ask me!

I couldn't put it down. Just when you think you know who was causing all the problems the author threw in another twist. And the ending was unexpected. A short easy read. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author.

I adored this book. What I loved most was how much I connected with the lead character. I too am an author, freelance writer, clumsy, and even ambidextrous. Having that much in common with the lead character made this a fun read. I also loved the chemistry between Charlie and Keaton. The two grow together as the story develops and you can't help rooting for them to become a couple. And, I loved Mr. Crubbs. He was the best character of all. If you love cozy mysteries, read this book!

This was a really good book. I did not figure out the whodunit until the end. This book was only $1.99.
