Meet the Author

I’m the daughter of a semi-retired Methodist minister, and have spent most of my life living in Texas and New Mexico (no, I am not a native Texan; I was born in the state of Washington). I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in 2000. I taught school for a couple of years before realizing that I really wanted to spend my time writing.

I’m a daughter, mother, wife, sister, granddaughter, taxi driver, feeder of teenage boys (who try to eat me out of house and home once a week). Currently, I live in North Texas with my husband and my teenage son (it’s his friends that I feed and drive around). I love sports, and while this blog is about writing, don’t be surprised if other topics pop up (for instance, how my beloved Redskins beat my husband’s Cowboys). I will probably post something goofy and funny once in a while; I have a wicked sense of humor and find almost anything funny.

That’s about it. If there is something else you want to know, ask me!

I adored this book. What I loved most was how much I connected with the lead character. I too am an author, freelance writer, clumsy, and even ambidextrous. Having that much in common with the lead character made this a fun read. I also loved the chemistry between Charlie and Keaton. The two grow together as the story develops and you can't help rooting for them to become a couple. And, I loved Mr. Crubbs. He was the best character of all. If you love cozy mysteries, read this book!

This was a really good book. I did not figure out the whodunit until the end. This book was only $1.99.
