Many of North America’s most beloved regions are artfully celebrated in these boardbooks designed to soothe children before bedtime while instilling an early appreciation for the continent’s natural and cultural wonders. Each book stars a multicultural group of people visiting the featured area’s attractions—such as the Rocky Mountains in Denver, the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Lake Ontario in Toronto, and volcanoes in Hawaii. Rhythmic language guides children through the passage of both a single day and the four seasons while saluting the iconic aspects of each place. Featuring all new illustrations, this completely revised edition highlights many of the Lone Star state’s most iconic places, including NASA’s Johnson Space Station, the Alamo, the Gulf of Mexico, Dallas, Houston, and Texas wildlife, such as longhorn cattle and prairie dogs.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

"A fantastic children's book series. . . . What a great way to reminisce about places your kids call home, or your favorite summer vacation spots. Learn too about other places your family might like to one day visit."  —Modern Mom

"Appealing as a way to connect children to images of places they know and love. Of note are the charming illustrations, which are colorful, simple and evocative, with a particular emphasis on depicting families of all ethnic backgrounds."  —The Associated Press

colorful, concise and educational and fun books for small toddlers and children.

I started giving this adorable little book in a basket of Texas items to all our friends and family with babies and small children that come to visit us. All the toddlers love it because it is colorful, small and easy to handle and gives them a taste of Texas. It is part of a series of American locations and now send them to our small family members so they can "read" and remember their distant relatives that they don't get to see so often. All our grandchildren have the books that remind them of their "cousins" in various parts of the us.
