When socialite Savannah attorney Lucy Alcott entered the Hyatt looking for fun, martinis, and hot sex, the last thing she expected to find was Dr. Joe Connors. Joe is Lucy's opposite in every way: he’s dark, she’s pale; he’s tall and reserved, she's tiny and vivacious; he wears his compassion and deep spirituality on his sleeve, she wears designer bags and clothes. That night at the Hyatt Lucy found herself not in the arms of a casual encounter but reaching out to a man who challenged the walls she had built around her heart—and when he gave her his number, Lucy knew Joe deserved a woman as warm and tender as he was. So she threw his number away. When an unexpected meeting six months later brings them together again, will Joe overcome Lucy’s fear of losing her heart, or are their two very different worlds destined to keep them apart forever?

I highly recommend Good Things Come in Tall Packages

What a fast, fun, and exciting read! Good Things is about true love after incredible loss. Lucy lost her mom and Joe lost his dad early in life. It changes them and drives them to want to put career first and love last. Until they meet each other. The way huge obstacles like Type 1 diabetes and different cultures and fear of commitment all work together to make a compelling plot makes this a great story. The big issues don't get in the way of a sizzling romance. In fact, the problems add a good dose of reality to the plot because what new relationship isn't fraught with trouble? Joe Connors is a believable hero that every reader will fall in love with. Lucy is one tough woman, but Joe's love makes her totally likable and shows her vulnerable side. If you want a quick, sexy read that will make you think and feel good, this book is for you.
