Meet the Author

Howard Gardner PhD is the Hobbs Professor of Cognition and Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Best known for his theory of multiple intelligences, his 1983 book Frames of Mind proposes an array of seven kinds of culturally valued intelligence. Gardner has been identified as one of the world's ten most influential business thinkers by the Wall Street Journal. His recent research investigates the nature of Good Work, the alignment of excellence, ethics, and engagement.

Daniel Goleman, PhD covered the brain and behavioral sciences at the New York Times for twelve years. He is co-founder of the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning, and co-directs the Consortium for Research on Emotional Intelligence in Organizations. His books include Emotional Intelligence, Primal Leadership, Destructive Emotions, and Social Intelligence: The New Science of Human Relationships. His new book Ecological Intelligence was released in April 2009.
