I bought this book for my mother for Christmas. She is not really a crafty person, although I am sure a few pages from the first half of the book (mostly crafty ideas for home decorations, gifts, storage, etc.) will catch her eye. She really loves Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, so I was hoping there would be tons of recipes. There are plenty of different recipes for dinners, treats, and appetizers, but many of them use pre-mixed products, and Mom is a from-scratch kind of gal in terms of her baking. I think this is a perfect book for a busy mom with kids under 10 in the house, but it emphasizes crafting more than cooking. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
