Overview

Gore Orphanage Road. They say it is haunted. They say you can still hear the tortured screams of the children who died there. Those who live on the road laugh and call these tales the work of bored, imaginative kids. Then the darkness comes, and they look out into the night and shudder . . . Five friends head out to Gore Road in the dead of night. Lesley is the one who tells the stories, all the gory details rattled off over beer and cigarettes. She is determined to go. Jake hides his fear of that place. He believes Lesley isn't herself, that perhaps she is drawing them there. Later he will wish he'd trusted his intuition, for on Gore Road there is the graffitti, LEAVE JAKE BEHIND, and a little boy in the woods who says, "Satan is coming."

A good horror story about Gore Orphanage Road, a real street in Ohio. It was one of the few books I read recently that really scared me. Highly recomended
