    GREAT stories; HORRIBLE quality:(

My children LOVE these books! We borrow them from the library all the time so I thought a set would be a great Christmas surprise. Unfortunately, these are NOT board books they aren't even made of somewhat stiff cardboard. They are made from that papery-cardboard that would easily tear and warps really badly if you get even the littlest drop of water on it. Not a great choice for my 2 and 1 year olds. Don't buy the set, buy individually. They are still the cutest story books ever!!

The board book set of Gossie and Friends

We have loved this author and these stories for some time. We previously (repeatedly) checked out single copies of the board books available at the local library. So, buying the five book board set seemed like a perfect idea. However, we were very disappointed in the quality of materials used in the set. The thickness and durability of the set is not the same as individual board books available in the store and library. It is more like tag board than the usual kid-durable board. The set was purchased as a gift for a Dunrea-loving kid, but I ended up buying him individual books from the B & N.
