    It's All Here

It's easy to be intimidated by the sheer mass of this work--however, it flows well and is an easy read without talking down to its audience. While I recommend reading the entire work in sequence, its chapters stand alone so one could concentrate on particular areas of interest. I admit I read the book because Ms Peele was the tutor for my course in British Politics (always a good idea to read the prof's book)...however, it was the best one-volume work on the subject I read. My only suggestion is to include a glossary of basic terms - for Americans like me, some terms that are well-known to Brits can be very confusing.
