Overview

"One of the sharpest, funniest voices on YouTube" (Forbes), comedian Grace Helbig offers an irreverent and illustrated guide to life for anyone faced with the challenge of growing up.

Face it—being a young adult in the digital era is one of the hardest things to be. Well, maybe there are harder things in life…but being an adult is difficult! So Grace Helbig has written a guide that’s perfect for anyone who is faced with the daunting task of becoming an adult.

Infused with her trademark saucy, sweet, and funny voice, Grace’s Guide is a tongue-in-cheek handbook for millennials, encompassing everything a young or new (or regular or old) adult needs to know, from surviving a breakup to recovering from a hangover. Beautifully illustrated and full-color, Grace’s Guide features interactive elements and exclusive stories from Grace’s own misadventures—like losing her virginity solely because her date took her to a Macaroni Grill—and many other hilarious lessons she learned the hard way.

Amusing and unexpectedly educational, this refreshing and colorful guide proves that becoming an adult doesn’t necessarily mean you have to grow up.

Editorial Reviews

Andy Cohen
"Grace Helbig is a sparkly vessel of wit and fun!"
Maureen Johnson
“Grace’s genius is to make you laugh even when faced with something as mundane (and terrifying) as a job interview. And her honesty about her struggles with anxiety is particularly inspiring. I’ve been an adult longer than Grace, but I was doing it wrong. After reading this book, I bought six dozen sticks of deodorant, put my underwear outside my front door, and rolled around on the floor in a blanket taco. Thanks, Grace!”
LA Weekly
“Helbig isn't a flash-in-the-pan Internet personality . . . she's a brilliant comedienne.”
Variety
"One of YouTube's most endearing personalities."
Hannah Hart
“I've always looked up to Grace Helbig—and not only because she's a giantess!—because she has the extraordinary ability to accomplish whatever she sets out to do. I think this book is a testament to that.”
Mamrie Hart
“This book is just like Grace Helbig—hilarious, bright, and will cut you when you least expect it. Seriously, paper cuts are no joke. This is high-quality paper stock.”
From the Publisher
"Grace Helbig is my spirit animal and I would gladly take her to lunch at Macaroni Grill so we could talk Latin conventions, first love, and hangover remedies. I wouldn't even expect her to put out."–Jenny Han, author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Tyler Oakley
“Hilariously honest without missing a beat, Grace brings her irresistible voice and lovable personality to Grace's Guide. #MustReadImmediately.”
Chris Hardwick
“Grace Helbig is one of the funniest, most creative beings on this damn planet and if you don't read her book and enjoy the crap out of it you simply hate wonderful things.”

    more from this reviewer

Entertaining work by Grace, as always!

This is a super fun book, and it actually has some really great advice in it, too! It's beautiful and full of hilarious pictures of Grace, and it's really easy to flip through the sections. Her voice in the book is a really great extension of the videos she makes, but she really does know how to ground it in reality. It lives up to her "awkward older sister" persona.

Fantastic read for all, I highly recommend!

Quirky, fun, and full of all the advice I never knew I needed to survive tough transitions in this digitally driven world. Grace's advice and humor helped me face some of the things going on in my own life. Both sincere and not too serious at the same time. It felt more like advice from a friend than anything else. I truly recommend this to anyone, specifically those transitioning out of high school or college!
