Overview

In 2000 alone, more than one million people in their 20's left the safe confines of their American college campuses and entered the workforce or graduate school. But the vast majority of recent grads have lived in dorms their entire college career, or otherwise have little experience in living on their own, not knowing anything about what awaited them at the end of their walk across the stage ...

Many had completed internships to get real world experience, or had rented apartments during their final years of school. a handy tool

This book was a gift from my mom. I found it easy to read quickly, and found myself flipping back to sections I needed specific extra help with. I'll be graduating from college this May, and feel so much better prepared to face the real world. I felt like the author was talking to me, and seemed to anticipate all of the questions I had, and even some that never occurred to me before. It's written in a very straightforward, funny style by someone who's obviously been there. I've shared the book with my housemates, and may never get it back!

    No nonsense reading

I found the book very helpful in educating me on the details of what a person needs to do in order to begin a career. The book was easy to follow and kept my interest chapter by chapter. I recommend this book to anyone who just left college, or is about to, and needs a ray of clarity on what to do next.

    A Truly Useful Book

This is a tremendously useful book for the recent college grad, with real world information and help. The style is graceful and funny. I keep a stack on hand to give to friends' children, knowing I am handing on wisdom from one of their peers. I wish someone had told me how to deal with roommates and the nuts and bolts of getting, keeping and changing jobs! Terrific guide.

Perfect Gift for any student or new graduate!

My parents gave me Kristen Gustafson's 'Graduate!' for my release from college this year. I have been out of school for only 3 weeks, and I have already found this book to be invaluable. There are so many things you don't learn in college that people assume are common sense, but most of us really don't know. 'Graduate' teaches you the most important thing of all - how to survive in the real world!
