I've been teaching ESL since 1988, and I love this book. The explanations are clear and non-academic. Students love it because it puts the grammar in the context of everyday life, Plus, there are plenty of exercises - no 3-5 sentences per page rip off, as with so many texts. I think there about 125 chapters (maybe more) covering tenses, prepositions, phrasal verbs, etc. You really do get lots of mileage.
