Overview

How differently would we live if we believed that every dimension of our lives—from the happy to the tragic to the mundane—were part of a beautiful and purposeful design in which no thread were wrongly woven? That’s what best-selling author and internationally-known apologist, Ravi Zacharias, explores in The Grand Weaver.

As Christians, we believe that great events such as a death or a birth are guided by the hand of God. Yet we drift into feeling that our daily lives are the product of our own efforts. This book brims with penetrating stories and insights that show us otherwise. From a chance encounter in a ticket line to a beloved father’s final word before dying, from a random phone call to a line in a Scripture reading, every detail of life is woven into its perfect place. In The Grand Weaver, Dr. Zacharias examines our backgrounds, our disappointments, our triumphs, and our beliefs, and explains how they are all part of the intentional and perfect work of the Grand Weaver.

Also available: unabridged audio CD.

    A reviewer

This is Ravi Zacharias as you¿ve never read him before. More approachable, more practical, and ¿ potentially ¿ more life-impacting. Never one to leave the mind unchallenged in his writing and teaching, Ravi also touches your heart in this wonderful book. He still employs his powerful story-telling gift, he still pulls in quotes and insights from his wide breathe of knowledge, and he doesn¿t sacrifice intellectual honesty for improved readability. But there¿s a tenderness and a gentleness to it all . . . and insights and encouragements abound. It¿s a delightful follow-up to his deeply personal memoir, ¿Moving from East to West.¿ Whatever your stage of life¿whether it¿s re-examining your ¿DNA,¿ finding value in your disappointments, deciphering your calling, or considering your morality¿Ravi has a word for you. You¿d do well to listen.

    An excellent Introspective Read

The Grand Weaver by Ravi Zacharias is a thoughtful book about the threads that are woven in our lives to make it what it is. Experiences give us all different tapestries, some of which we can change and others not. It does however end up in a glorious masterpiece.

God shapes us throught the events life.

this book has several stories that tie into how God weaves his tapestry into our life. this tapestry or thread includes, his purpose, will, and destiny for us. Some are very intuitive and insightful in regards to how a spiritual understanding is gained from a particular difficult or dissapointing circumstance. Howeever, some stories that the author wrote show the inherent good in a particular circumstance or story he told, but not how it relates to a believer's spritual betterment or development. This book is goood for using human stories and tying them inti how God designed the bad circumstances for our overall development. Therefore, it could be read several times over to mine these good spritual insights that the author definitely has.

    Great for Practical Christian Living

This Book Challenges the Christian. Also, Dr. Zacharias is usually intellectually driven, this passionate appeal does not speak merely to the mind and intellect but speaks very powerfully to the heart and emotion. I suggest it for every Christian

A must read regardless of your religious affiliation.

I have read many of Ravi Zacharis' books and this one, as the others, is a book that is difficult to put down. I found it challenging and inspiring.

    Connect the dots

A wonderful book which explains how God connects the dots in our lives and fulfills His purpose in our lives. It also helps us understand that the Lord has a purpose in every detail of our life both good and bad. This book clearly shows '...all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose'(Romans 8:28), through the events in the author's life.
