Surprises abound in Grandma and Me, a lift-the-flap board book by Karen Katz. Someone special is at the door. Who could it be? A big blue door on the opposite page opens to reveal It's Grandma! But there's more in store: lively pastels show a teddy bear in her suitcase and cookies baking in the oven. (Apr.) Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information.

This book is so much fun to read to my grand daughter. She is only 10 month's old and loves the flap books. She waits for me to read the words, then lifts the flap for the rest of the message. At the end of this book she holds her cheek up to me for the "big grandma Kiss." Every grandma needs this book.

My two year old grandson loves the story of Grandma coming to stay. I live three hours from him so I often come to stay for a few days so it is very applicable for our situation. He loves opening the different pages to see what grandma brought or what preparations were made for grandma's arrival. It pictures a girl in the story but I still feel it is applicable for him. He likes me to read it over and over again. Glad I purchased it
