A Wonderfully Touching Story

Grandma's Christmas Tree is such a warm, wonderful story of a child's homemade gift to his grandmother. What child doesn't remember making such a gift and what Grandmother doesn't melt when receiving them. So beautifully written as well as having gorgeous illistrations - I couldn't wait to turn the page.

    A Treasure for Any Age

Whether you are age 5 or 85, this book is a treasure. The story is written from the point of view of a young boy trying to discover the 'magic' everyone says his grandma's Christmas tree holds. As I read the book, I was taken back to the special times I had spent with my own grandmother. The illustrations are phenomenal, and complement the text perfectly. I am looking forward to future releases from Janet Mary Sinke and Craig Pennington.

What a GREAT way to bring back precious memories!

This book sure brought back the memories of Christmas' with my grandma. It makes you sit and reflect and remember all of the good times and family times. I purchased a copy for my sister in law and one for my mother in law as well and they LOVED it. My mother in law is a Volunteer Grandparent and she took it to school to read to the kids and they were just captivated by it. They then each told of a memory they had with their grandparents. This book is for all people that enjoy memories whether they are a grandparent or not. It is just a great family book.

    Christmas Magic

Grandma Janet Mary¿s Grandma¿s Christmas Tree is a book for children as well as adults. When I brought the book home, I read it to my husband aloud and choked over some of the words because they brought back memories of past Christmases with my grandmothers and Christmases of the future with my grandchildren. The book connects with the true meaning of Christmas that even a child can understand. In our fast paced world, it is an important lesson for our children to understand with all of their hearts. This book has become a tradition of being out on our coffee table at Christmas to be shared with my grandchildren every year. The illustrations by Craig Pennington are realistic yet at the same time whimsical that appeal to a child. The directions for making a pretzel glitter frame is a wonderful idea for helping a child connect with the story. I highly recommend this book for any child or adult!

Grandma Janet Mary has captured the beauty and the magic of family at Christmas time. She uses whymsical rhyme, nostalgia and humor to tell the story of a little boy who is trying to find the magic in the Christmas tree. This book will warm your heart and fill your soul with Christmas joy! There are few children's books that relate to the grandparent/grandchild relationship. Grandma Janet Mary has captured this treasured love in her books. You will also cherish 'I Wanna Go To Grandma's House'. This story is a about a little girl spending the day with Grandma. It is a keepsake!!! Craig Pennington is a brillant illustrator and has portrayed these grandchildren and Grandma in a very endearing way!! You will love his gift of detail. Enjoy!!

    True Spirit of Christmas Renewed!

Grandma's Christmas Tree is a must have holiday book for all ages. I am a teacher, parent, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend and I can not think of one person I would not want reading this book. The rhyme, storyline, and beautiful illustrations make it an enjoyable read for children of all ages. I love the unique touches the author added; the instructions at the back of the book on how to make a pretzel ribbon frame, the letter to grandchildren at the beginning of the story, and the author's note to grandparents on the back cover are all added bonuses. This book reminded me of my childhood and the true spirit of Christmas. I can't wait to give it to my grandparents as a gift. This book would make a wonderful keepsake for anyone!

    What a gift to read!

This is a book every child should have. The author does an amazing job capturing your attention. She keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens. I got choked up several times when I read this the first two times. I could relate my childhood experiences to several aspects of the story. This book leaves you feeling so good. I can't wait for more of this author's books to be published. The illustrations are first class as well.
