    Now a priceless heirloom

    I had gotten this book for my mother to fill out when I found out I was pregnant with my first son. She passed away when he was only a year old. This book has stories in it that I did not know. It is now my mother's voice to all her grandchildren.

    Wonderful Book for Grandmothers to Prepare for Baby!

    We purchased two of these books, one for my mother and one for my husband's mother to fill out for our baby once he/she is born. This is our first child and both of our mothers are very excited and want to be involved in the pregnancy and birth and this book gives them a great opportunity to do so. The book covers grandmother's history from birth to present and allows grandmothers to fill out pages of details and history and even has areas to put photos, keepsakes, and other memories to be able to pass along to baby. This is a wonderful way for the baby to learn about his/her grandmother and to have a keepsake made specially from his/her grandmother for the baby. The only negative thing about the book is that there is only one page about grandfathers, BUT... the book is entitled "Grandmother Remembers" and not "Grandfather Remembers". Overall a great book and I would highly recommend!

    gave it to a 1st time grandmother

    gave it as a gift to a first time grandmother of an only daughter. She really loved it. The fact that she can share her thoughts and her experience to her grandchild and daughter too gave her joy.

    Grandmother Remembers a Written Heirloom

    I just received my order of a memory book and it doesn't match the description whatsoever of the review. It has food stains on the front, and then when you open it, it has actually already been used. Someone else's memories are already written in it. It was to be used as a gift for my mother to her grand kids and now I have to pay more in shipping than the book even cost me just to send it back.
    I would think the 'very good' and "Book has appearance of only minimal use. All pages are undamaged with no significant creases or tears. With pride from Motor City. All books guaranteed. Best Service, Best Prices."

    No mention of being written in already which I specifically looked out for because other businesses were honest and would specify. SO DISAPPOINTED!

    Dedicated Grandmother Wearing Out

    A fill-in-the-blanks and add-photos workbook. My daughter-in-law gave me a copy of this when my first grandchild was born, and the whole family loved the finished product. A terrific way to save family history, photos, clippings and other info that gets lost or left undocumented. You end up with an organized story that a child will keep forever. It takes hours to fill in the blanks with concrete detail and locate the proper pictures, but even toddlers enjoy looking at it. By popular demand I'm now working on the 7th one for 7th grandkid due early next year and hoping that my children slow down their production of children soon.

    Irreplaceable

    I am very fortunate to still have my great-grandmother alive. These are stories, that everyone in my family will absolutely cherish when she is no longer with us. She had such an amazing time filling this out with me, we did it over a period of time, so she had something to look forward to during the week. This book is my most cherished possession by far, this is a story only she could tell, and I had such an enjoyable time with her filling it out.

    grandma's thoughts & feelings

    I love this book. My grandmother had made one for me & gave it to me last x-mas & it is so special to me. She put all kinds of pictures in it & special thoughts her & my gandfather had. & Moments she & I will never forget. This book is priceless.

    I just found out I was pregnant!

    I'm giving this book to my mom to tell her the happy news. It will be a birthday present for her from her future grandchild--to be given back when my baby is old enough to understand it. The book brought tears to my eyes. I really wish I had something like this from my grandma.

    Create a Family Treasure

    I purchased a copy of Grandmother Remembers, A Written Heirloom for my Grandchild, in 1983 -- long before I expected a grandchild. I completed all the general sections then waited until 1991 when my grandson was born. Then I added the information specific to him. Since then I have completed two more copies ... one for each of my granddaughters. This is a wonderful treasure ... and a great gift for every expectant grandmother!!!
