PreS-Gr 2 A picture book with a reassuring story line. Billy, who's afraid of the dark, shares his room with his grandmother when she comes to visit and discovers that saving his grandmother from a mysterious sound (which turns out to be his grandmother's snoring) is more important than his personal fears. The text is a combination of dialogue and narrative; full-page watercolor and pen drawings sustain the mood of the story. Children who have shared Billy's fears will find reassurance in this family-oriented picture book, which is reminiscent of Stevenson's What's Under My Bed (Greenwillow, 1983). Bessie Egan, Winnipeg Public Library, Manitoba, Canada
