GRANT ME
GRANT ME is in storyline with the Serenity Prayer, for eight year olds and adults. During yearly Thanksgiving visits parking-lot-mutt, Mister Zoo, telepathically mentors Mollie Mills' grandson, Grant. Ultimately, they decide to help his terminally-ill roughneck grandfather, Papa George, who is Mollie’s ex husband, get to Heaven. This idea isn’t something that just popped into their little heads. It’s Mollie Mills' Grandpa’s spirit acting as the evangelical preacher he was in his earthly life, winded, hot-headed and sometimes kind ‘a spooky.
When Mollie moves her grandma, Ma'am Margaret and her basset into her small clapboard home things get even more weird and wild. But it's all part of a bigger plan and part of the underlying, deeper love story.
Filled with wisdom, charm, and mule-headed stubbornness, Grant is nearly prepared to help George get to Heaven. But Grant will have to grow some strong brave bones to overcome his fear of Papa George if he's going to help the hard-hearted rascal make reckoning with Heaven's Gates, without him picking the lock to gain entrance. Otherwise, Grant and all the people who love him will never see Papa George when they move to Heaven.
Then Grant has to deal with his jealousy over Piper, Papa's precious little gift he left behind in foster care and the elusive Maine Coon Cat who attaches himself to Piper. It's like George just lives on and on, parading the legacy of George's mayhem, predicaments, and his big dog-hearted love.
Enjoy, Stephanie M. Sellers.

About the Author

Author Bio
Stephanie Mullins Sellers, 1962-
Summer’s spent under grandparent’s care in the Midwest schooled appreciation for spring fed swimming holes, dark timberlines with wolves near catfish ponds, forbidden fast romps on half-broke Appaloosa’s across the vast Prairie, lipstick kisses, tearful good-byes and even switches. It’s the stuff in my stories. In college I was editor of both the Underground Bobcat and Lees-McRae Presbyterian College’s Bobcat. Guess which was more exciting.
I entered the USAF, marriage, motherhood and college again to fall in love with pottery and sculpture. I restored an 1865ca Log Dwelling for my gallery. Half a lifetime later, compelled by my heart, I am back where I started out when I was ten and penned letters to my grandparents after I was saved at a revival camp. I write both Young Adult and Adult versions of Thriller Romance and General Fiction. Through plot and a hint of understanding delivered from oddball, lovable and bold characters my stories reflect the theory that our lives consist of much more than the tangible pieces.
North Carolina’s Sandhills are home where I work as an Office Manager and trail ride. I also dote on two grandchildren. I write simply because I must.
