I'm currently an art student in Illustration. This book is the best to give you the Dos and Don'ts of being a commercial artist. This range from Illustration, graphic design, Animation, and Web Design . This is a book you must keep at your side for all rookie and professionals. I think they would agree with me.

its a good tool to get started-lots of information- use it as a reference and build from there- remember to keep current with new releases for the most up to date and relevant practices
I think it is helpful in that it acts as a comprehensive resource of practical info to many different areas of the graphic design/ illustration business. Those with years of experience as working professionals in this industry under their belt will probably not need it as much as someone who may be starting out in this career. Again it is not a 'cure-all'( but what is?) but it definitely compiles a lot of practical information that can act to point one in the right direction or be tweaked and built upon as one gains more experience in this industry.

Will help you understand what to charge and how to charge for your work. Great guidelines to help you not be cheated by your clients.
A must have for begining artists heading out into the field.
