This book left me with the strangest feeling. It is written brilliantly, and Kerr drops hints that while true, are almost misleading. The ending is startling, but clever, and it makes sense in a way that nobody ever expected.

I have enjoyed reading the entire series of "The Children Of The Lamp" and following Nimrod, Phillipa, John and Groanin on all their adventures. I am sad to see that this is the last one in the series and I sincerely hope that P B Kerr will right something else along the same lines that is just as captivating as this series was. It is a must read for any one that likes adventure and fantasy mixed with a lot of true-to-life facts. Good job Mr. Kerr!
