Meet the Author

As a budding writer for far too long I'm hoping [insert current year] will be the year that I finally beat [insert current excuse] and get writing again.
I've dabbled in screenplays, have a taste for the irreverent (as well as the irrelevant) but horror seems to be my chief muse. Still, let's see what else wants to come out.
As long as it's not poetry - I'm really rubbish at poetry.

(p.s. I really appreciate reviews - I love to know what you think of my stories, even if you didn't like them...)

    Completely Recommendeded

I downloaded this because it was free, but it actually proved to be an excellent read. I downloaded because it sounded dark and it did not disappoint. My only complaint was that I wish it was longer, but I really enjoyed it. The ending was great, left you hanging, but it suited the story well. If you are looking for a quick read, but one that is rather dark, I highly suggest Graves.

    Yes, it's free....

...But it reads like something you could pay for. If expanded, it could make a good novel. Well written, which is something often lacking in free books. Not "scary" per se, but earns the "chiller" category.

    Very good

Suspenseful and well developed. There is an open ending, but you can assume what will happen next. An interesting topic. It reminded me of an older shorter Steven King novella.

It takes about 20 minutes or so to read. And, it is 60 Nook pages long.

Enjoyable. Recommend for people who enjoy a spooky thriller-horror short book. It all hapens on an island that acts like a small town, and everybody knows each other. I wish that there was more backstory on the narrator. And, it would have been great if the gravestone's faded inscriptions were revealed. Otherwise, a very good novella.

    Fantastic!!!

This was an amazing story! I loved it! The only problem was you never find out what the grave stone is. I wish this story was longer. I was so into the story. This author is great! Bunmies and strawberries could have been better but i think i will read more of his work. What a creative story though.

I would have rated it 5 stars but i expected it to be more descriptive. Other than that i absolutely loved the ending how he is writing down what is happening and then abruptly comes to the end ah cliffhangers. I reccomend this book after all it was free!

    Good...but leaves you hanging.

This book was pretty good but it was too short. It leaves you hanging at the end which kind of bugged me. I wanted to know what happened but the author cuts you off. Over all the story most of the time was interesting and good for a one day read. It has a good storyline but definately couldve been more descriptive and longer.

    Liked it.

Just a short scary story. Something I would expect on an episode of Twilight Zone.

I would have paid for it. I will be watching for more by this author, and will happily pay for more of his writing. It is brilliant of new authors (and old) to put a book out for free - it gives you the opportunity to read a book and get 'hooked' so that your next books are looked forward to with interest!

This was a dark, weirdly appealing book, especially for someone familiar with the small town mentality of "us vs. them' and how your actions are remembered long after any sane community would have forgotten all about your previous transgressions - no matter how mild.

Highly recommended, and he is now on my list of "watch for a new book".

    Well written

While most short stories leave me wanting more, I thought this was rather well written. Suspenseful and I thought the ending brilliant. Would like to explore more by this author and hope that his other works are as well written as this piece.

    Short and creepy

What a fun, creepy, and short story. It left me with unanswered questions, but I really enjoyed it.
